Welcome

Welcome to All Music Modes, an interactive platform dedicated to making musical modes easier to understand, hear, visualize, and apply in real music.

This website was created by Macky Ar, a musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and lifelong student of music theory. Throughout years of studying and creating music, Macky noticed a common problem: while there are countless articles and diagrams about modes, very few resources make it easy to see, hear, and experience how modes actually work.

The Problem We Solve

Many musicians encounter the same challenges:

  • Memorizing mode patterns without understanding their sound
  • Struggling to connect theory with practical application
  • Finding static diagrams that don't demonstrate musical context
  • Learning modes on one instrument but not another

This platform was built to solve those problems through interactive tools, visualizations, and practical demonstrations designed for musicians of all levels.

Whether you're exploring your first Dorian scale, comparing the colors of Lydian and Mixolydian, studying modal harmony, or looking for new creative ideas, the goal is simple.
